Official Parkman Market Flyer

Parkman township, nestled in the SE corner of Geauga County, invites you to join us for a day out in the country! On Saturday, May 6, the historic Parkman Community House will be the setting for the first event of its kind in Parkman: The Parkman Community Market. Local residents, artisans, growers, producers, and small businesses will be set-up to sell their wares while community members and guests from surrounding areas join together for a day of unique shopping, treasure hunting and good, old-fashioned fun!

There will be two floors of vendors indoors, and more will be set up outside, in the spacious parking area in front of the Parkman Community House. The majority of items for sale will be handmade by local artisans, homegrown by local farmers, or handpicked treasures from the homes of area residents.

Inside the Parkman Community House will be items from our Amish community such as baked goods (including specialty pies and fry pies), jellies and relishes, hand-woven rugs, hand-turned wood art (including pens, pencils, and letter openers), hand-sewn items, and plants for the garden.

Items of interest will include M.A. Hadley pottery, concrete garden art from Grandmaís Garden (statuary and stepping stones), stained glass art, and trendy purses and totes from Thirty-One Gifts.

Among the other unique items will be silk flower arrangements, embroidered/home sewn gifts, hand crocheted items, handmade greeting cards, wine bottle lamps, natural soaps, lotions, spices and herbs. Proceeds from the Parkman Community Market will be used for improvements of the historic Parkman Community House.

Come on out, enjoy the tranquil countryside, hear the clip-clop of horse-drawn buggies, taste the flavors of Amish baked goods, all while finding that unique gift or specialty item at the market! Itís sure to be worth the drive!! The Parkman Community Market will be held on Saturday, May 6, from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm at the Parkman Community House, located on State Route 422, just east of Route 528. The address is 16295 Main Market Rd., Parkman, Ohio. Refreshments will be available.
